Kevin Smits

Kevin Smits has a diverse work experience spanning from 2003 to the present. Kevin started their career in 2003 as a Senior Claims Examiner at Progressive Insurance and worked there until 2006. Kevin then joined Marsh as a Client Representative from 2006 to 2011. Following that, they worked at AIG as a Senior Underwriter from 2011 to 2013, where they managed a property book of over $35M and developed relationships with clients and brokers. Currently, Kevin serves as the Executive Vice President - Real Estate & Construction Practice Leader at Howard Insurance since November 2013.

Kevin Smits attended Hampden-Sydney College, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Their field of study during this time is not specified. Prior to college, they obtained a High School Diploma from Georgetown Preparatory School. In addition to their formal education, Kevin Smits obtained a certification as a Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist from the International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI) in April 2020.
