James Meakin

James Meakin has extensive work experience in the legal and tax industry. James currently holds the position of Head of Tax at Howard Kennedy LLP, starting in March 2022. Before this role, they worked as a Partner at Dentons from March 2018 until March 2022. Prior to Dentons, they were a Partner at Charles Russell Speechlys LLP from September 2013 to March 2018. James also held the position of Senior Associate at Taylor Wessing LLP from March 2010 to August 2013. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Associate Solicitor at White & Case from August 2005 to August 2009 and as an Associate Solicitor at Addleshaw Goddard from June 2000 to June 2005. James began their career as a Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers from November 1996 to June 2000.

James Meakin attended the University of Wales, Cardiff from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained an LLB (Hons) degree in Law. Subsequently, from 1995 to 1996, they attended the College of Law in Chester and completed the LPC program in Law.
