Alexander McSwain

Associate Professor With Tenure at Howard University

Alexander McSwain is an accomplished graphic design educator and professional with extensive experience in academia and freelance work. Currently serving as an Associate Professor with Tenure and Program Director of E-Studio at Howard University since August 2015, Alexander teaches various courses in graphic design and electronic studio, fulfilling graphic design needs within the Fine Arts Department and the College of Arts & Sciences. In addition to freelance graphic design and photography services through McSwain Enterprise, LLC, Alexander has held positions as a PT Faculty at Montgomery College and a Lecturer at the Multimedia Training Institute. Previous roles include Adjunct Professor at Morgan State University, Faculty Lecturer at Howard University, and Graphic Designer for WHUR and Cushman & Wakefield. Alexander earned both a BFA and MFA in Graphic Design & Visual Communications from Howard University and continues to enhance skills through ongoing education.
