Misha Cornelius

Misha Cornelius has a diverse range of experience in the field of communications and public relations. They currently hold the position of Director of Public Relations at Howard University since April 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Public Relations Manager at Howard University from August 2021. Misha also held the role of Senior Communications Specialist for Public Relations at Howard University from July 2018 to August 2021.

Earlier in their career, Misha worked as a Communications Associate at Advancement Project from September 2016 to June 2018. In this role, they played a crucial role in providing strategic communications and digital support, coordinating campaigns and events, and developing rapid response strategies. They also cultivated partner relationships, developed communications plans, and generated earned media.

Before joining Advancement Project, Misha served as the Partnerships Manager at The Action Network from November 2015 to September 2016. Prior to that, they held the position of Communications Coordinator and Founding Member at Black Organizing Project from August 2012 to June 2015.

Misha's earlier experience includes working as a Business Analyst at Pacific Gas and Electric Company from June 2011 to March 2012, a Media Assistant at Not In Our Town from January 2011 to August 2011, and an Intern Reporter at KPFA Radio from October 2010 to March 2011.

Misha Cornelius earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from San Francisco State University between 2007 and 2012. In 2009, they studied French Language and Literature at Université Côte d'Azur. More recently, Misha enrolled in Howard University in 2019, pursuing Political Science and Government. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate of Completion in Community Action Training from The Center for Third World Organizing in 2010.
