Nathiya Nagendra

Nathiya Nagendra currently serves as Senior Associate General Counsel for Litigation at Howard University, a position held since June 2020, following a tenure as Associate General Counsel for Litigation. Prior to this role, Nathiya worked at Crowell & Moring LLP from November 2014 to June 2020 as Education and Litigation Counsel, where responsibilities included representing universities and companies in complex litigation and advising on federal compliance issues such as Title IX and FERPA. Additionally, Nathiya contributed to the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia as a Loaned Attorney in the Housing Unit from August 2016 to March 2017. Nathiya holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Columbia Law School (2011-2014) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Studies from American University (2007-2011).
