Ragan D. R. Royal

Ragan D. R. Royal serves as the Assistant Vice President of Individual Giving at Howard University since November 2020, leading a team to expand philanthropic investment by 146% from FY21 to FY23 compared to FY18-FY20. Previously, Ragan held the position of Managing Director for Major Gifts at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, where management of a major gifts team contributed to securing $70 million during a $500 million capital campaign. Additional experience includes roles such as Associate Vice President for Development at the University of Maryland Global Campus, Senior Director of Development for the Capital Campaign at Tuskegee University, and Regional Director of Development for Mid-Atlantic & Georgia at Syracuse University. Ragan holds a Master's degree in Philanthropic Studies from St. Mary's University of Minnesota and has further education from Academic Impressions.
