Shweta Swaroop

Shweta Swaroop currently serves as General Counsel for Asia and India at Howden since July 2022, after holding the position of Regional Legal Counsel for Asia. Previously, Shweta worked as Legal Counsel at Manulife Singapore from February 2016 to July 2022 and as Legal & Compliance Counsel at Allocated Bullion Solutions from June 2014 to October 2015. Earlier career experience includes a legal internship at Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (Mercer) and at Standard Bank Group, as well as roles as Legal Counsel at The State Trading Corporation of India Ltd and Associate at Advoc India Law Offices. Shweta also worked as a Law Officer for the Central Vigilance Committee in India. Educational qualifications include an LL.M in Corporate & Financial Services from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Delhi. Additionally, Shweta holds a B.A. (H) in Sociology from Miranda House, Delhi.
