Tony Whittaker

Tony Whittaker has extensive work experience in the field of safety, health, and environment. Tony started their career as a Deck Officer Cadet in the Merchant Navy in 1995 and worked until 1996. From 1996 to 2008, they served in the Royal Air Force as an EOD / Bomb Disposal specialist. In 2008, they joined Arco Professional Safety Services Ltd as a Safety & Environmental Advisor, staying until 2011. From 2011 onwards, Tony has been working at Howdens, where they held various roles including Safety, Health & Environmental Advisor, Safety, Health & Environmental Manager, EHS Systems & Assurance Manager, and currently serves as the Head of Safety, Health & Environment.

Tony Whittaker attended the University of Hull from 2008 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Safety and Environmental Management. Tony also pursued additional certifications during their time at the University, including a NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management in 2011 and a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health from 2009 to 2011. Prior to their university studies, they attended the RAF School of Engineering, specializing in Aircraft Armament Systems Technology.
