Compensation: 

  • $25.00-30.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Eligible for additional job incentives and profit sharing program.

How you’ll contribute to the team:

Under the direction of the project manager, you will support various tasks including estimating, scheduling, and managing construction projects. Your primary responsibilities will involve coordinating with internal and external resources to identify pricing, material availability, and related costs, setting up jobs according to standard practices, and assisting in managing accounts, materials, logistics, contracts, and operations. Additionally, you will attend project-related meetings, manage change orders, RFIs, and general project documentation, and ensure closeout documentation is complete for each project. Building and maintaining effective working relationships with customers, co-workers, contractors, and the general public is crucial. You will also promote safety, teamwork, and cooperation, acquire necessary permits and authorizations for projects, and visit job sites as needed. Performs other job duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring to the table:

You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. The ability to read, understand, and interpret plans, specifications, schematics, and other project documents is essential. A professional appearance is required at all times, and you must have knowledge of local and state codes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software is necessary, and you must hold a valid driver’s license.

How you’ll qualify:

To qualify for this role, you should have at least an associate degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Accounting, or a similar field. Experience project management software such as Procore, and estimating software such as Autobid Mechanical, Autobid Sheet Metal, or ESTMEP Software is preferred.

What to expect in the office:

Assistant Project Managers mainly work in our office and must therefore be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. You may occasionally lift products or materials up to 15lbs and must be willing/able to attend active construction job-site visits as needed.
