Ilse Beerland

Ilse Beerland has extensive experience in the field of ICT, currently serving as Diensthoofd ICT and Coordinator of Howest ICT Applications at HOWEST University of Applied Sciences since 2001. Additional roles at HOWEST include Data and Process Engineer and Lecturer & Internship Coordinator for the New Media and Communication Technology program. Since April 2022, Beerland has also been a Beleidsadviseur for the ICT working group of the Flemish Hogescholen and Universiteiten. Prior to this, Beerland worked as a Production Manager at Barco from 1998 to 2001. Academic credentials include a Postgraduate Degree as a Data Protection Officer (GDPR) from HOWEST and a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from KU Leuven, along with an Erasmus exchange in Production Engineering at RWTH Aachen University.
