Nico de Backer

Nico De Backer is a Software Engineer and Lead UX at Hoxell, where the focus is on enhancing hotel operations through a user-friendly digital platform. Additionally, Nico serves as a course instructor for the "Sommelier svizzero della birra ®" at GastroSuisse and conducts beer-related educational events for the Repubblica e Cantone Ticino and Club School Migros. A passionate advocate for beer culture, Nico founded IL FIORE DI LUPPOLO to promote and educate the community about beer's diversity and characteristics. Previous roles include web development for various organizations, consulting as a beer sommelier for Radiotelevisione Svizzera, and application development at UZ Gent. Nico holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science from HOGENT.
