Irene Rodríguez Ortega

Irene Rodríguez Ortega has held various roles in the field of cybersecurity and research since 2014. Her most recent role is Cyber Culture and Awareness Manager at Hoxhunt, where they began in 2021. Prior to this, they were a Senior Cyber Security Culture & Awareness Expert at PwC from 2020 to 2021, and a Cyber Security Awareness Expert at Deloitte from 2018 to 2020. In 2018, they were also a Research Assistant at CIS - Centre for Sociological Research. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Writer Collaborator at United Explanations. Her first role was an Internship at the Sub-Directorate General of the United Nations and Global Affairs at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, which they held from 2014 to 2016.

Irene Rodríguez Ortega has a diverse educational background. Irene began their educational journey in 2009, when they attended Maristas for their high school diploma in the field of Humanities. In 2011, they earned their International Relations Degree from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. In 2015, they earned their Master's Degree from the same university in the field of International Law and International Legal Studies. From 2016 to 2017, they attended Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. and earned their Judicial Expert in the Use of Force degree. In the same year, they earned their Diploma of University Expert in Transnational Organized Crime and Security from Gutierrez Mellado University Military Institute. In 2018, they earned their Advanced Technician in Obtaining Information from Open Sources (OSINT) from CISDE Campus Internacional de la Seguridad y la Defensa. In 2020, they earned their Professional Technician in E-Learning Training. Trainer of Remote Trainers. from INESEM Business School. Irene is currently working towards their PhD ABD in International Law and International Relations from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, which they are expected to complete in 2021. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in ISO 27001 Lead Auditor from Campus AENOR (2021), Conflict Prevention and Resolution through Arms Control, Disarmament and Non-Proliferation from OSCE (2020), Cyberdiplomacy from Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) (2020), Marketing Strategies from Deloitte (2019), and OSCE/ODIHR observers from OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) (2018).
