Cell Culture Technician at Hoxton Farms

Arya Erkılınçoğlu is a cell culture technician at Hoxton Farms. Arya previously worked as an undergraduate student researcher in the genetics and bioengineering department at Yeditepe University from April 2019 to June 2021. During their time at Yeditepe University, Arya worked on projects investigating the role of differentiated pre-adipocytes in prostate cancer progression and the synergistic effect of chemotherapeutic agents on the treatment of estrogen receptor positive breast cancer. Arya acquired skills in cell culture and differentiation, D. melanogaster culture, cell viability/proliferation/migration assays, cell staining, apoptosis & cell cycle assay, ELISA, gene silencing, protein/DNA/RNA/exosome/plasmid isolation, PCR, RT-PCR, gel electrophoresis, western blot analysis, gene editing (transfection, transformation)& silencing (shRNA).

Arya Erkılınçoğlu has a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering with Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering from Queen Mary University of London. Arya also has a Lisans Derecesi in Genetics and Bioengineering from Yeditepe University. Lastly, they have an Erasmus from Life Sciences- Faculty of Science and Technology from Universitat de Vic – Universitat Central de Catalunya.
