Mike Albright

Mike Albright is the Director of Cybersecurity Business Alignment & Security Solutions at HP. Mike has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on database administration, system engineering, and project management.

Mike started their career in 1996 as a Senior IT Consultant with COSS Technologies, where they designed and deployed multiple solutions utilizing MS Access, SQL Server, and Visual Basic. In 1997, they joined Poudre School District as an Oracle DBA / System Engineer / Project Manager. While with the school district, they led the database environment architecture and deployed the first Oracle database implementation. This design and deployment led to steady state database administration and further project management work to deploy the first district-wide ERP application.

IT operations tasks that Mike has experience with include: Oracle database and system administration, performance tuning, web server administration, threat monitoring and prevention, backup and recovery, UX mail administration, and server maintenance.

In their current role at HP, Mike is responsible for leading the cybersecurity business alignment team and developing security solutions for HP customers.

Mike Albright has an MBA in Technology Leadership from Colorado State University and a BS BA in Computer Information Systems from the same school. Mike also has a certification from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) in Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
