Ken Coburn M.D., Drph, Facp

Ken Coburn MD, DrPH, FACP has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Currently, they serve as Global Health Affiliated Faculty (adjunct) at Indiana University Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health. Previously, they were the CEO & Medical Director of Health Quality Partners, a non-profit organization focused on healthcare quality improvement. Ken also worked as a Collaborative Partner - Quality Improvement at Doylestown Hospital and as a Collaborative Partner - Cancer Center at Froedtert Hospital. Ken Coburn MD, DrPH, FACP has a diverse education history. In 1976, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology from Brown University. Coburn continued their education at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in 1984. From 1984 to 1987, Coburn completed their residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in NYC.

Seeking further specialization, Coburn pursued a Fellowship in Infectious Diseases from 1987 to 1989 at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In 1990, they further expanded their knowledge in public health systems management by obtaining a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.

Driven to make significant contributions to the field of public health, Coburn enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008 to pursue a Doctor of Public Health (Dr.P.H.) degree with a focus on Health Policy and Management.
