Fabio Covito

Many-Body Theory Specialist at HQS Quantum Simulations

Fabio Covito is a Many-Body Theory Specialist at HQS Quantum Simulations. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Scientist at SimCog Technologies GmbH from October 2020 to March 2021. Before that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Max Planck Institute for Structure and Dynamics of Matter from April 2020 to July 2020, where they were responsible for performing research in theoretical condensed matter physics in the study of quantum systems, developing advanced analytical methods using mathematical modeling, programming, etc, publishing and contributing to the publication of research papers in leading scientific journals, providing mentoring to a PhD student, collaborating with other researchers (both theoriticians and experimentalists), and attending international conferences and workshops and presenting research results. Fabio also served as Internal PhD Student Representative at Max Planck Institute for Structure and Dynamics of Matter from May 2017 to September 2018, and as PhD Student Representative at International Max Planck Research School for Ultrafast Imaging & Structural Dynamics from October 2016 to September 2018.

Fabio Covito obtained their PhD in condensed matter theory from the Max Planck Institute for Structure and Dynamics of Matter. Fabio also holds a master's degree in physics from Università di Roma Tor Vergata, where they studied the structure of matter. Covito spent a semester as an exchange student at The University of New Mexico, studying physics. Fabio also holds a bachelor's degree in information and communication technology (ICT) from Università degli Studi di Cassino.
