Carol Whetzel

Carol Whetzel, SPHR, serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Tulsa City-County Library, overseeing human resource functions for over 400 employees across 24 branches since August 2017. In addition to this role, Carol has contributed as a Subject Matter Expert for the HR Certification Institute Exam Development Panel since October 2002. Prior experience includes serving as Human Resource Manager for Energy Products LLC from September 2013 to August 2017, Human Resource Manager at Warehouse Specialists, Inc. from February 2012 to September 2013, and Director of Human Resources at Defender Direct from May 2009 to January 2012, where leadership was provided for more than 1,700 employees in multiple locations. Carol holds an MBA in Management/HR from Indiana University Northwest and a BBA in Management/HR from the University of Memphis.
