Engineer II at HRL Laboratories

Ben Harrison's work experience starts in 2018 as a Lifeguard at The Windmill Club and later as a Camp Counselor at Camp Shohola in the summer of the same year. In 2019, they worked as a Design Engineering Co-Op at SIFCO Industries, Inc. The following year, in 2020, they served as a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op at Nottingham Spirk until August. From December 2020 to May 2022, they worked as a Research Assistant at Case Western Reserve University. Ben had a brief internship as a Mechatronics Intern at Zymergen from May to August 2021. Currently, starting in August 2022, Ben is an Engineer I at HRL Laboratories, LLC.

Ben Harrison attended Byram Hills High School from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained their High School Diploma. After completing their high school education, they enrolled at Case Western Reserve University in 2017 and is expected to graduate in 2022 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Ben Harrison has achieved several certifications in SolidWorks, a popular computer-aided design (CAD) software. Ben obtained the Certified SolidWorks Associate - Mechanical Design (CSWA) certification in December 2018, followed by the Certified SolidWorks Professional - Mechanical Design (CSWP) certification in December 2020. In 2021, they obtained various advanced certifications from Dassault Systèmes, including the Certified SolidWorks Professional - Advanced Sheet Metal (CSWPA-SM), Certified SolidWorks Professional - Advanced Weldments (CSWPA-WD), Certified SolidWorks Professional - Advanced Drawing Tools (CSWPA-DT), Certified SolidWorks Professional - Advanced Surfacing (CSWPA-SU), and the highest level of certification, the Certified SolidWorks Expert - Mechanical Design (CSWE), which they obtained in August 2021.
