James Ross has a diverse work experience spanning from 2009 to 2013. James started as a Consultant at RAF Technology and also worked as a Programming Consultant at Radiant Asset Management during this time. In 2010, they became a Teaching Fellow at Creighton University.
From 2011 to 2012, James worked at Brookhaven National Lab on the STAR experiment, where they focused on slow controls, which involves the software-hardware interface via EPICS. James also participated in the ALICE experiment at CERN, where they conducted data analysis, research, and worked shifts on the experiment.
In 2012, James joined Brookhaven National Lab again, this time as a Controls Expert for the STAR experiment, primarily working on the development and maintenance of the experiment's slow controls system.
Most recently, James worked as a Lab Assistant at HRL Laboratories, LLC, where they were involved in applied electromagnetics research and antenna modeling. James had responsibilities such as programming antenna models, running test scans, electronics soldering, inventory management, and designing experimental apparatuses. This role required him to have proficiency in programming languages like Matlab and modeling software like HFSS and Autodesk Inventor.
James Ross obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Pepperdine University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. After completing their undergraduate education, they pursued a Master's degree in Physics at Creighton University, attending from 2010 to 2012.
