Jiejun Xu has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a research intern at Telefonica in 2008. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a research intern at HRL Laboratories, where they focused on object detection, behavior recognition, object localization, and pose estimation using visual appearance and geometry.
In 2005, Jiejun Xu joined UC Santa Barbara, where they worked as a developer and teaching assistant until 2010. From 2007 to 2012, they also served as a graduate researcher, further expanding their research skills.
Returning to HRL Laboratories in 2013, Jiejun Xu continued their research journey, progressively working their way up from a member of the technical staff to a senior scientist. Jiejun'sroles at HRL Laboratories involved working on various research projects, including multimodal object classification through sensor fusion.
Currently, Jiejun Xu holds the role of Senior Scientist (Scientist VII) at HRL Laboratories, showcasing their expertise and experience in the field.
Jiejun Xu began their education in 2001 by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University, Fresno. Jiejun then pursued further studies and went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at UC Santa Barbara, graduating in 2007. Jiejun Xu continued their academic journey and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara in 2012.
