Daniel Stannard

Daniel Stannard is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at HS2 Ltd since October 2022, responsible for the specification, integration, and assurance of geotechnical workstreams across the project while managing geotechnical risks with the supply chain. Previously, Daniel served as Senior Associate Director at Jacobs from November 2013 to October 2022, overseeing a team of approximately 50 ground engineering specialists, and as Technical Director, leading the growth of the Midlands team. Prior roles include Principal Geotechnical Engineer at AECOM, Grontmij, and WSP Environment & Energy, along with early experience as a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer at Joynes Pike Associates. Daniel holds a BSc in Environmental Geology from The University of Sheffield, obtained in 1996.
