Willie Fernandes

Willie Fernandes has extensive work experience in the banking industry, primarily with HSBC. Willie started their career in 2002 with HSBC India, holding various roles within retail risk management, including Account Risk Management, Collection Strategy, and Collection Operations. Currently, they are the Vice President of Account Risk Management, responsible for promoting business growth through a strong test and learn framework and developing digital channels for customer acquisition. Willie has also led important projects such as implementing a Group system for collection agency management and migrating collection operations activities to a Group Service Centre. Willie's most recent role at HSBC is Senior Vice President, where they head the HSBC Unsecured Loans business within Retail Banking in HSBC India. In this position, they focus on managing the product P&L, expanding the distribution network, and digitizing onboarding journeys to enhance customer experience. Willie is also responsible for offering the right proposition to meet customer needs within the risk appetite. Additionally, Willie has experience with HSBC Private Bank as the AVP Consumer Credit Risk for India.

Willie Fernandes has a Diploma in Foreign Trade from the Indian Merchants Chamber. Willie also holds a Bachelor's degree in Science from Mithibai College of Arts Chauhan Institute of Science and A.J.
