Bob Gilbert has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Bob served as the President and CEO of HSMAI, where they successfully led the organization in adapting to industry changes and creating value for its members. Bob also worked as an Adjunct Faculty at The George Washington University and the Cornell School of Hotel Administration, teaching travel and tourism management. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President of Marketing at Richfield Hospitality Services, where they oversaw property marketing support functions for a portfolio of 170 hotels. Bob was also involved in strategy development, brand conversions, and market feasibility reports. Before joining Richfield, Bob worked as the Vice President of Marketing at MHM, where they focused on marketing and brand development. Overall, Bob Gilbert's work experience demonstrates their expertise in hospitality management, marketing, and education.
Bob Gilbert attended Cornell University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration. Bob also holds several certifications including Certified in Hospitality Business Acumen (CHBA) from HSMAI in 2003, Certified Hospitality Marketing Executive (CHME) from HSMAI in 1995, and Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) from AHLEI - American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute in 1993.
