Chris Nicol is an Electrical Engineer at SMART Technologies since July 2010, contributing to a cross-functional team developing hardware for DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Previously, Chris served as a Firmware Engineer within the same company, focusing on firmware development and diagnostic tools. Experience includes working as an Electronics Contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, designing and repairing educational devices, and as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Calgary, where responsibilities included conducting labs and grading. Earlier career experience as an Electronics Engineer at Grindcom involved developing control systems for forestry equipment, encompassing circuit design and software development. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
