Marcus Watt has a diverse work experience in soccer, with their most recent role being the Houston Dash Academy Head Coach for the Houston Dynamo I Dash Youth Soccer Club. Prior to that, they were a Student Athlete at the University of Houston-Victoria. Marcus also played as a Soccer Player for Kraze United Soccer Club, Laredo Heat Soccer Club, and Arbroath Football Club.

Marcus Watt attended the University of Houston-Victoria from 2019 to 2021, where they obtained a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Admin & Supervision with an emphasis on Organizational Leadership. Prior to their master's degree, Marcus also attended the University of Houston-Victoria from 2013 to 2017, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Before their enrollment at the University of Houston-Victoria, Marcus studied at Dundee and Angus College from 2012 to 2013, completing an Associate's degree in Sports Coaching and Human Development.

In addition to their formal education, Marcus Watt has obtained several certifications from the U.S. Soccer Federation. Marcus received a USSF C License in April 2022, a USSF D License in March 2019, and a USSF E License in February 2018.
