Yiqun GE is a distinguished engineer at Huawei since October 2011, focusing on low power chip design for wireless applications, polar code research for 5G New Air, and the standardization of 5G New Air. Previous experience includes serving as a telecom system engineer at Octasic from November 2007 to October 2011 and as a senior telecom engineer and section manager at STMicroelectronics from May 2003 to November 2007, where contributions included wireless baseband algorithm development for WiMAX mobile systems. Yiqun GE began the career with training in wireless baseband algorithm development for UMTS-WCDMA. Yiqun GE holds a Master’s degree in telecommunications from Telecom Bretagne (2001-2003) and a Bachelor of Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (1996-2000).
