Ashley Aust

As Hubbell Realty Company’s General Counsel, Ashley Aust provides legal counsel to the company and affiliated entities including brokerage, construction, development, finance, human resources, marketing, and property management departments. Ashley manages the legal department at Hubbell Realty Company, is accountable for the acquisitions, dispositions, and development contracts for land and project developments, and creates strategies for acquisitions, dispositions, and private placements of debt and equity.

During her time as associate general counsel, Ashley led process improvements and technology implementations at Hubbell Realty Company, worked with the Governor’s office, state agencies, lobbyists, legislators and interest groups for legislative initiatives, amendments, and regulations, and worked with various cities on city ordinance changes, development agreements, and entitlements. Ashley oversees the drafting of agreements, management of due diligence and closings of acquisitions, dispositions, and financing and all litigation matters.

Prior to her experiences at Hubbell Realty Company, Ashley was a Commercial Underwriting Attorney with Iowa Title Guaranty of the Iowa Finance Authority where she performed closings, provided legal counsel and title coverage specializing in LIHTC and HUD financing transactions. In addition, Ashley provided assistance with the Iowa Finance Authority Section 8 Department with the successful bid proposal for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Project Based Contract for the State of Iowa.
