Liam Sweeney

Senior Creative Partner at Hubbub Fundraising

Liam Sweeney is a Creative Partner at Hubbub Fundraising. Prior to this, they were a Community Development Manager at Sedgemoor District Council from January 2019 to March 2021. In this role, they supported 100+ VCSE organisations to take effective action and a leading role in the improvement of their communities. Liam also worked closely with multiple partners to design and deliver projects/ work streams that support community resilience, empowerment and poverty reduction. Some of their key accomplishments include developing The Local Pantry Somerset programme, creation of Sedgemoor Wellbeing Directory, and delivering three urban improvement ‘placemaking’ schemes.

From January 2014 to January 2019, Sweeney was a Senior Project Officer | Collaborative Design at Sustrans. In this role, they worked on a variety of projects related to sustainable transport.

Sweeney also has experience as a Centre Manager and Corporate Partnership Officer. Liam was a Centre Manager at Language Study Centres from June 2013 to September 2013 and a Corporate Partnership Officer at Breast Cancer Care from June 2013 to January 2014.

Liam Sweeney has a degree in sociology from the University of Portsmouth.
