Jeff Zmurchyk

Jeff Zmurchyk, CRSP, currently serves as the Health and Safety Manager at Hudbay Minerals Inc. since June 2023, following a similar role at Copper Mountain Mining Corp from October 2020 to June 2023. Zmurchyk has extensive experience in health and safety, having held multiple positions at Teck Resources Limited from April 2012 to October 2020, including Health & Safety Supervisor, Compliance Supervisor for Contractor Safety, and Health and Safety Coordinator. Responsibilities have included leading high potential risk control strategies, conducting incident investigations, mentoring health and safety teams, managing hazardous energy isolation programs, and advising on effective action plans from audits and risk assessments. Zmurchyk holds an Environmental and Occupational Health Certificate from the University of Victoria and a Fire Training Certificate from the College of the Rockies.
