Gus Wenke Kathol

Gus Wenke Kathol is an experienced content creator currently serving as a Digital Content Intern at The Bay since January 2025. Simultaneously, Gus has been a Video Editor and News Photographer for The Daily Nebraskan, contributing to the student-run paper with photo and video content. In addition to these roles, Gus works as a Video Production Intern at Hudl, focusing on creating short form videos of high school athletes. Previous experience includes serving as a Student Ambassador for Adobe, where marketing initiatives led to engaging numerous students and professionals, and a Video Production Intern at Husker Vision, responsible for camera operations and video editing for live sports broadcasts. Gus has also worked as a Student Video Producer at the Nebraska College of Business and a Utility Worker at Nebraska Public Media, directing live productions. Early experience includes a producer role at 93.7 The Ticket. Gus is pursuing a degree in Journalism with a focus on Sports Communication at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
