Philip Lai

Philip Lai has extensive experience in the insurance industry. Philip started their career at AIG as a Financial Accountant for DBG Comptrollers from 1996 to 1998. Philip then joined QBE North America, where they worked as a Financial Accounting Manager from 1998 to 2003 and later as the AVP, Financial System Manager - QBE Insurance Company from 2003 to 2006. During their time at QBE, Philip documented and managed project plans between the Finance Department and Information Systems, and supervised consolidated reporting on an Australian GAAP and US Statutory basis, among other responsibilities. Since 2006, Philip has been with Hudson Insurance Group, initially serving as the AVP, Director of Reinsurance Accounting and currently as the AVP, Head of Accounting and Reinsurance. In their current role, Philip manages both the Operations and Reinsurance teams and is responsible for all aspects of Financial Accounting to support US Statutory and GAAP reporting and financial statements. Philip also implemented and maintains the reinsurance system used by the company.

Philip Lai graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting and Finance from NYU Stern School of Business in the period of 1992 to 1996.
