Carrie Roble's work experience begins in 2007 as a Research Fellow at Bowdoin College's Biology Department. In 2008, they were a Vernal Pool Field Science Intern at the Town of Brunswick Maine's Public Works Department and also worked as a Field Staff Scheduler at Wilshire Health and Community Services, INC. Carrie then became an Ocean Lifeguard for the Los Angeles County Fire Department in 2009. Carrie worked as a Research Assistant for the Shark Bay Ecosystem Research Project at Florida International University and as a Seasonal Environmental Education Supervisor at the Hudson River Park Trust in 2010. From 2010 to 2012, they were a Research Assistant at the Great Lakes Lab of the University of Michigan. Starting in 2012, Carrie held various roles at the Hudson River Park Trust, including Director of Environmental Education and Stewardship, Director of Science and Stewardship, and currently as the Vice President of Estuary & Education. Carrie was also a Graduate Student Consultant at the Chesapeake Bay Trust from 2011 to 2012.
Carrie Roble's education history includes obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Environmental Studies and Africana Studies with a Biology minor from Bowdoin College, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Carrie further pursued their education by earning a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Aquatic Science and Environmental Justice from the University of Michigan, where they attended from 2010 to 2012.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Carrie Roble has also obtained two additional certifications. In September 2018, they received the US Sailing Basic Keelboat Certification from US Sailing. Carrie also holds the Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels/USCG Six-pack Captain's License from the U.S. Coast Guard, which they obtained in December 2015.
