Paul Venn has extensive experience in the advertising industry, working for various companies throughout their career. From 1984 to 1987, they worked as an Account Director at Foote, Cone & Belding. Paul then joined Butterfield Day Devito Hockney in 1987 as Deputy Managing Director, where they managed accounts for clients such as Honda and British Telecom. In 1994, they became the Managing Partner at RKCR/Y&R, overseeing the agency's Ford of Britain business and eventually becoming the Head of Account Management. In 2000, they joined Y&R Brands in London as the Director of Global Operations, responsible for managing the agency's Jaguar business. In 2003, they joined WPP in Detroit as the Director of Strategy & Integration, focusing on developing best practices and integrated agency offerings for the Ford client. In 2005, they became the President of Y&R Brands in Detroit, managing the agency's Lincoln Mercury and Ford Motor Credit Company clients. In 2007, they became the President of Team Detroit, a new organization formed by WPP agencies servicing Ford Motor Company business. In 2013, they were appointed as the President of Global Business at Team Detroit, responsible for all global aspects of the agency's business with Ford. Finally, in 2016, they became the CEO of Hudson Rouge and the Global Client Lead for Lincoln at WPP.

Paul Venn attended St Olaves & St Saviour's, Orpington, Kent from 1974 to 1976. Paul then pursued a Bachelor of Arts with Honors degree in the School of African & Asian Studies at the University of Sussex from 1976 to 1979.
