Irene Solaiman is an experienced policy leader in the field of artificial intelligence and technology. Currently serving as Head of Global Policy at Hugging Face since April 2022, Irene has built and oversees the company's public policy while conducting research on social impact and safety. Irene holds multiple advisory roles, including Policy Director at the Center for Democracy & Technology and Advisor to the AI Governance Lab at the Partnership on AI. Additionally, Irene contributes as a member of the Policy Steering Committee for The Aspen Institute and is involved with the AI Elections Initiative. Previous positions include AI Expert roles at IEEE and OECD.AI, AI Policy Manager at Zillow, and AI Researcher and Public Policy Manager at OpenAI. Irene's academic background includes a Master in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Maryland, complemented by student exchanges at National University of Singapore and Universidad Pablo de Olavide.
