Gail Folkins currently serves as a Communications Coordinator at the City of Issaquah while simultaneously working as a freelance writer and editor since 2016. With extensive experience in communications, Gail has previously held roles such as Communications Specialist for the City of Snoqualmie and served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Gail's teaching contributions include a variety of writing courses across several institutions, including St. Edward's University and Austin Community College. As an accomplished author, Gail has published works such as "Texas Dance Halls: A Two Step Circuit" and has taught creative writing at multiple levels. Gail holds a Ph.D. in English with a focus on Creative Writing from Texas Tech University, an MA in English from Texas State University, and a BA in Journalism from Washington State University.
