Sorcha Horgan is an accomplished marketing professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various industries. Currently serving as Managing Director of Geek Media since September 2013, Sorcha leads the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies for diverse sectors, including fashion and not-for-profit organizations. Simultaneously, since March 2009, Sorcha has held the position of Head of Marketing & Communications at Hugos Group, overseeing brand management, social media strategy, and stakeholder engagement for a collection of restaurants, bars, and a boutique catering service. Previously, Sorcha worked as a Promotions Coordinator at Paul Strange Events from January 2007 to March 2009, where responsibilities included managing promotions and marketing activities for the events company.

The trio met each other while working in the Melbourne restaurant scene back in 1986. Dave Evans and Daniel were both chefs and Dave Corsi was the front of house manager. After two years of working together and becoming best mates, they teamed up to open their first venue, The Lager Bar in Fitzroy Street, St Kilda and the rest is history. The Hugos Group has been consistently recognised by its peers over the years claiming some of the most prestigious bar and restaurant accolades, including seven Sydney Morning Herald chef’s hats, Best Restaurant in Australia, Best Nightclub in Australia, Best Small Caterer in Australia & Best Bar in Australia.
