Henry Turvala

Henry Turvala has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Henry began their career as a summer trainee at Nokian Tyres ltd in 2004. Later, they worked at Rautaruukki Oyj as a Controller before being promoted to Development Manager, Business Control. In 2009, they became the Business Controller for the Steel Service Centre network.

In 2012, Turvala joined Comptel as a Business Controller responsible for global services and product/solution units. Henry then moved to Lemminkäinen, where they initially served as a Business Controller, focusing on financial and operational management reporting systems. Henry later became the Vice President of Controlling and Operational Planning for the Paving Finland business unit.

Turvala joined SSAB in 2016 as a Project Manager for Group Business Control, overseeing the implementation of shared financial processes and tools across operating countries. Henry left SSAB in 2018 to join Huhtamaki, where they assumed the role of Head of Business Control & Development for the Fiber Foodservice EAO segment. Henry was later appointed as the Head of Finance and Controlling for a global internal spinoff, leading strategic planning, investment, and FP&A processes, as well as supporting M&A and financing options.

Henry Turvala attended LUT University from 2001 to 2007, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Industrial Economics and Management. In 2005, they also participated in an exchange program at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, focusing on Industrial engineering and management.
