Taina Makkonen

Taina Makkonen has extensive work experience in human resources and leadership roles. From 2021, Taina has been the Vice President of Human Resources at Huhtamaki, where they oversee the global HR operations for the Fiber Foodservice business segment. Prior to this, they served as the Chief People and Culture Officer at Qvantel from 2019 to 2021. Taina has also held the position of Chief HR Officer at Betsson Group from 2013 to 2017. Before that, they worked as the Vice President of Human Resources at Digitalist Group & Network from 2010 to 2012. Taina's earlier career includes various roles at Nokia, including Director of Human Resources and Senior Manager of Compensation & Benefits. Taina also worked as a Training Consultant and Product Manager at AAC Global, where they focused on B2B language training sales and marketing.

Taina Makkonen earned an M.Sc. degree in Human Resources, Service Marketing, Accounting & Finance from the Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku. Taina also obtained a certification as a Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) from the WorldatWork Total Rewards Association. Additionally, they have received certifications in Basics of Service Design from Aalto University and Elements of AI from the University of Helsinki in 2019.
