Matt Francis

Matt Francis is an accomplished data scientist and growth strategist with extensive experience in various roles within the data analytics and behavioral science fields. Currently serving as a Data Science and Growth professional at Human since November 2022, Matt focuses on product data science and business analytics in a personalized healthcare startup environment. As Lead Scientist and Advisor at Hatch since April 2018, Matt leads a team dedicated to developing human-centered hiring systems. Previous experience includes senior positions at Afterpay, IAG, and Ambiata, where Matt managed data science teams, consulted on analytics projects, and contributed to cross-functional collaboration. With a solid academic background, including a PhD in Theoretical and Computational Cosmology from the University of Sydney and a BSc/BA with honors in Physics and Astronomy from UNSW, Matt is recognized for expertise in machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
