Sr. Accounting Manager at Human Rights Campaign

Hillary Hearn has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Hillary started their professional journey in 2008 as a Community Development Advisor in the Peace Corps, where they worked until 2010. In 2011, they joined the Human Rights Campaign as a Finance Intern for six months before transitioning to a role as a Finance temp for four months. Hillary then became a Staff Accountant - Compliance Reporting for the organization, a role they held until 2013.

In 2012, Hillary worked as a Statistical Analysis Intern at the Administrative Office of the United States Courts for four months. Concurrently, they also held a position as a Recycling Analyst at the Office of Sustainability, George Washington University for two months.

Returning to the Human Rights Campaign in 2016, Hillary became a Senior Staff Accountant, where they managed compliance for grant reporting, compiled data for reporting to senior management, and recorded restricted income and releases. Hillary was later promoted to an Accounting Supervisor in 2017 and most recently assumed the role of Sr. Accounting Manager in April 2021.

Hillary Hearn completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2003 to 2007. After that, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at The George Washington University School of Business from 2010 to 2012, specializing in Data Analysis and Sustainability Strategy.
