Josette Matoto

Josette Matoto has a diverse work experience. In 2012, they started working as a Video Production Specialist at USPTO, where they stayed until November 2014. During this time, they also established their freelance multimedia company called Matoto Media in September 2012, which is still ongoing. In November 2014, they joined Friends of the Earth as a Graphic Designer & Video Producer, before being promoted to Art Director in June 2018. Josette worked there until January 2021. Currently, they are working at Human Rights Campaign, starting as an Associate Director of Design in January 2021, and later being promoted to Deputy Director of Design in April 2023.

Josette Matoto pursued their Bachelor's Degree in Film/Video and Photographic Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University, from 2006 to 2010. In 2018, they also completed the Art for Social Impact training program at The Sanctuaries DC.
