Mitch Johnson

Mitch Johnson is an experienced professional in board relations and education, currently serving as the Director of Board Relations at the Human Rights Campaign since May 2014. In this role, Mitch leads the Board Relations Team, managing strategic and logistical support for the HRC and HRC Foundation Boards of Directors and planning board meetings and calls. Prior roles include Deputy Director and Senior Manager of Board and Volunteer Relations at the same organization, as well as multiple positions at the Boy Scouts of America, where responsibilities encompassed field operations, fundraising, volunteer development, and membership recruitment. Additionally, Mitch served as an Online Adjunct Instructor at Itawamba Community College and a History Instructor at Eastern Oklahoma State College. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts in History from Mississippi State University and an Associate of Arts from Itawamba Community College.
