Robbie Newton

Robbie Newton is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in human rights advocacy and event organization. Currently serving as Senior Coordinator for the Asia Division at Human Rights Watch since August 2019, Robbie has held various roles within the organization, including Coordinator and Development & Outreach Coordinator. At the Centre for Sport and Human Rights, Robbie completed an academic placement from July 2022 to June 2023. Previous experience includes teaching English as a Second Language and a successful career as a professional football freestyler, performing at major events for audiences exceeding 250 and managing communication and marketing. Robbie holds a Master of Arts in International Development from the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Sussex, complemented by an International Baccalaureate from the International School of Geneva.
