Yasmine Ahmed is the UK Director of Human Rights Watch and former Executive Director of Rights and Security International. With a background in international law, Yasmine has worked in various legal and consultancy roles, including advising government officials on human rights, counter-terrorism, and international law issues. Yasmine has also taught International Law at various universities and has been involved in important legal work at organizations such as the United Nations and International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. Yasmine holds a Master of Laws degree from SOAS University of London and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Adelaide.
