Kate Meghji

Kate Meghji currently serves as Chief Operating Officer and previously held the title of Vice President of Animal Welfare at Humane Rescue Alliance since August 2023. Prior to this role, Kate was the Chief Executive Officer at Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County from January 2019 to August 2023 and served as Executive Director at Lawrence Humane Society from August 2014 to December 2018. Experience also includes Executive Director at Sinai Temple from March 2009 to July 2014, and Director of Finance at First Baptist Church of Champaign from September 2011 to February 2014. Early career positions include Shelter Manager, Facilities Manager, and Medical Assistant at Champaign County Humane Society from November 2005 to February 2009. Kate Meghji holds an MBA in General Management from the University of Illinois, attained between 2008 and 2010, and a B.S. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from The Evergreen State College, completed from 2003 to 2005.
