Aviva Vetter

Director, Campaigns, Research & Toxicology at Humane Society International

Aviva Vetter is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in animal welfare, communications, and editorial roles. Currently serving as the Director of Campaigns, Research & Toxicology at Humane Society International since November 2013, Aviva has progressed through multiple positions within the organization, focusing on global campaigns and toxicology issues. In addition, Aviva holds the position of Senior Content Writer at Toronto Star since June 2022. Previous roles include Executive Editor at Q Magazine and Journalist at RSVP Magazine, where Aviva contributed to Montreal's unique cultural landscape. With a background in leadership mentorship as Global Representative for Canada at the Young Global Leadership Organization and considerable experience in communication roles across various organizations, Aviva has honed skills in writing, project management, and campaign execution. Aviva holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Political Science from Concordia University, a Bachelor's in Communications/Public Relations from McGill University, and is currently pursuing Pet Grooming Training at Pawsitive Canine Learning Academy.
