Marcela Valadez is an accomplished professional in animal welfare with extensive experience in various roles since 2017. Currently serving as a member of the Animal Welfare Committee at Consejo Técnico Consultivo Nacional de Sanidad Animal and as an Animal Welfare Consultant at Sistemas de Calidad en Alimentos, S.A. de C.V., Marcela provides expertise to companies in the food sector. In addition, Marcela holds the position of Scientist in Farm Animal Welfare at Humane Society International and works as an Animal Welfare Auditor for Humane Farm Animal Care (Certified Humane®). Marcela is also a doctoral intern at FMVZ, UNAM. Academic credentials include a PhD in Animal Science from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and a degree in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry with a focus on Animal Welfare from Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro.
