Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter that has been serving people and pets since 1929. Our mission is to save lives, keep families together, and create a better future for pets and their people. 

We offer quality adoptions, affordable spaying/neutering, vaccinations and microchip services, pet care services and education programs to enhance the human-animal bond.   

We are the first Animal Community Center in the nation to receive Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

The Veterinary Services Team at Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to shelter animals, including high-quality, high-volume spaying and neutering, vaccinations, and general health assessments. They ensure the well-being of pets through preventive healthcare, treatment of illnesses, and surgical procedures, while also supporting adopters with medical advice and post-adoption care. This team plays a crucial role in furthering HSSV's mission by enhancing the human-animal bond and ensuring animals are healthy and ready for adoption.
