Stephen Broadhurst began their work experience as a Sales Consultant at Technosound Ltd from May 1992 to August 1996. Stephen then worked as a Student Engineer Internship at Balfour Beatty Construction from November 1998 to August 1999, where they served as a Soil and Concrete Analysis Technician on the A35 Puddletown bypass project. Stephen also worked as a Graduate Engineer at Balfour Beatty Rail from June 2000 to August 2000, where they were in charge of track alignment shifts at the Euston Station Remodeling Project.

Stephen then joined PwC as a Consultant from October 2001 to October 2002. Afterwards, they joined IBM as an Associate Partner from October 2002 to June 2018, where they held a senior role. Stephen then worked at AiX as Conversational AI Lead from April 2019 to April 2021.

Stephen's most recent work experience includes serving as the Managing Director at ThinJetty from May 2018 to present and as the VP Customer Solutions at HumanFirst since July 2022. HumanFirst is a company that offers a no-code platform for training and testing machine learning NLU solutions.

Stephen Broadhurst obtained their Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Civil Engineering with Design and Management from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd. Stephen completed their degree from 1997 to 2001. In addition to their degree, Stephen also obtained a certification as an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner from IBM in October 2018.
