Benjamin Ackerman, CFCM, CSM has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Benjamin began their career in the United States Air Force, where they served as an Air Traffic Controller and later transitioned into the field of contracting. In the Air Force, they held various roles as a Contracting Specialist, Contracting Officer, and Master Instructor.

After leaving the military, Ackerman worked as a Contracting Officer for the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force in the Arabian Peninsula. Benjamin then served as the Contracting Superintendent/Contracting Officer for the Special Operations Command in Africa, where they provided business advice to high-level commanders on contracting solutions.

In this role, they serve as a subject matter expert for federal acquisitions and is involved in product ownership, training, functional testing, and resolving contractual conflicts.

Outside of their professional work, Ackerman has been involved in promoting motorcycle safety and organizing fundraising events for non-profit organizations as a Region 7 Lt Commander for the Texas Confederation of Clubs and Independents US Defenders.

Benjamin Ackerman, CFCM, CSM has a diverse educational background. In 2005, they obtained a Professional Certification in Contracting Level 2 from the Defense Acquisition University. Benjamin furthered their education at the Community College of the Air Force, earning an Associate's degree in Contract Management from 2001 to 2005. In 2003, they also received a Certification in Contracting Level 1 from the Defense Acquisition University.

In 2011, Benjamin pursued an Associate's degree in Instructor of Technical and Military Studies from the Community College of the Air Force and completed the program in 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Benjamin has acquired several certifications. Benjamin became a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) through the Scrum Alliance in February 2022.
